Our historic, traditional guest house is centrally located in Bernau at the beautiful lake Chiemsee. The "Bavarian Sea" became famous by the castle Herrenchiemsee of Ludwig II. on the island Herreninsel and by the Benedictine abbey Frauenwoerth on the island Fraueninsel. In our 3 cosy restaurants and the large beergarden we will spoil you with regional and national dished as well as specialties out of our own butchery. Bicycle, hiking and walking trails start directly in front of the house. Cross-country skiing runs are only 500 meters away. Our own park site with lawn and walking trails invites to relaxing hours.
Our guesthouse "Alter Wirt" provides excellent cuisine with international and vegetarian dishes and, of course, traditional Bavarian dishes. Enjoy your meal inour comfortable restaurant Zirbelstube or in the shady beer garden under chestnut trees.
Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.
No deposit will be charged.

If cancelled or modified up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.
All children are welcome. All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 6.50 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
